What is it with Ashley Cole? He is demanding a £200K p/w contract to remain at his much beloved Chelsea.
With a year left on this contract, and with the emergence of Ryan Bertrand, Chelsea will most likely let Cole’s contract expire rather than offering the 31 year old an additional 70K p/w wage.
Ashley its time to show the club that your really do love Chelsea. Want to stay? Then re-sign on the same wage. You’re not worth 200K p/w, even as the best left back in the world. That’s my view anyway.

I disagree. If he’s truly the best back in the world (which I believe he is) then we have to sign him at what seems to be a ridiculous price. That being said, I think he would sign for something more like 150-160K p/w but letting him go would be a terrible move even with Bertrand.

Posted by Charles Anthony | August 6, 2012, 3:18 amHow did he do against Brighton? Better than all the other show ponies we’ve got I hope. Yea, I know not to read anything too much into pre-season, but that hardly fills me full of confidence, which is exactly what that fixture was meant to do. Good old Poyet eh?
Posted by JuDgE | August 6, 2012, 6:36 amNoted, we’ve yet to see Oscar in blue, but Brighton….really? Sorry, off topic.
