Brazilian starlet Oscar has signed for Chelsea! A club statement today confirmed the deal has been completed and the player will link up with his new teammates at Cobham once the Olympics tournament has completed.
Oscar joins a number of new players such as the Hazard brothers and Marko Marin at Chelsea this season. He is also one of a number of young Brazlian players that Chelsea have acquired over the last two years, including David Luiz, Ramires and Lucas Piazon.
Whilst there has been a recent flurry of activity in the transfer market by the Blues, many believe there is still two more transfers to be completed. Since Anelka, Drogba and Kalou have left the club, it seems obvious that Chelsea will acquire another striker, having bid for Lewankoski (spelling?) and have been linked to another Brazilian, Hulk for some time.
A right back is the other issue, as Bonsingsa needs to be replaced with no immediate squad replacement aside from Ivanovic who prefers to play in the middle, albeit competing against Terry, Cahill and Luiz.
